Jenson Button

DOB: 19th January 1980

Birthplace: Frome, Somerset, England

Jenson Button made his F1 debut for Williams in the 2000 season. He was the youngest driver on the grid in the opening grand prix!

He finished eighth in the Drivers Championship at the end of the year and impressed many by his pace and driving skills, although some thought he was a little 'gung-ho'.

Jenson moved to Benetton for the 2001 season but they were developing the car and did not have a competitive package so he only managed to pick up two points at Hockenheim for the season.

In 2002 Jenson had a much better year, he became a consistent scorer with seven point scoring finishes ending the season at seventh place in the Drivers Championship ahead of his team-mate Jarno Trulli.

Jenson moved to BAR in 2003 with hopes that they can develop a winning car and he can showcase his talents to the bigger teams
